FAST™ is a series of optical sight mounts and platforms that provide the end user with faster aiming than standard height mounts. Its 2.26-inch optical centerline height provides faster and easier crosshair targeting when wearing electronic earmuffs/communications headsets, night vision goggles, gas masks and other facial protection equipment, and allows for faster battlefield visual processing, facilitating Adopt a head-up posture. The head-up position also helps users maintain a neutral spine position, which is more comfortable when wearing helmets, ballistic vests and other heavy equipment.
The FAST™ Comp Series Mount places the full-size Aimpoint Comp scope at an optical centerline height of 2.26 inches from the weapon rail. This is the ideal mount for the standard equipment of the US Army M68 CCO series. It also accepts older Comp and Comp-type scopes such as the Patrol Rifle Optic (PRO) and Aimpoint Carbine Optic (ACO) in Aimpoint's 30mm top ring mount.
