FAST is a series of mounts and platforms that provide users with a faster aiming field of view than standard height mounts. The higher optical centerline (mechanical height) enables faster and easier aiming of mesh sights when wearing electronic ear protection, communications earmuffs, night vision goggles, gas masks and ballistic vests that may obstruct the natural shooting position. It promotes a head-up posture that allows faster processing of battlefield information.
The FAST LPVO Side Rail Optics Adapter Plate mounts a miniature red dot sight onto the FAST LPVO Side Rail Optic Mount. Each adapter board comes with a specific optical backplane and uses mounting hardware provided by the optical manufacturer. Each base plate has a specific sight port on the bottom that will accept any micro red dot sight with the same base plate pattern. The baseplate can be mounted in three positions (forward cantilever, center, rearward cantilever) on the FAST LPVO side rail optical mount for a custom fit.
The FAST LPVO side rail optics adapter plate is only compatible with FAST LPVO scope mounts and requires the FAST offset optic mount for proper use.
