The Roll 1™ Trauma First Aid Kit is a Dangler®- style bag designed to store personal first aid items ( IFAK ) and related contents for rapid deployment in an emergency. The concept for the Roll 1™ Trauma First Aid Kit comes from a prototype first aid kit designed and built in Syria by our friends at Forward Observations Group for other special operators. We worked together to redesign and add Ferro Concepts features to make it accessible to those who need it.
Roll 1™ is intended to be secured to the opening of the pocket behind the ballistic plate carrier: occupying unused area, not impeding movement, and providing lumbar support for fully equipped personnel while riding in the vehicle. Roll 1™ is open and ambidextrous and can be accessed from both sides of the injured person if trauma care is required. Simply grab the deployment tab on the left or right side, pull out the liner to access first aid supplies, and start working on wound care. Roll 1™ can also be mounted on the front of a ballistic plate carrier, on a combat belt, or anywhere a large enough Velcro felt interface is used. Contains outer and inner bags. The inner trauma bag, first aid supplies and other contents need to be purchased separately.
Roll 1™ is named in reference to medical-related terms: Role 1 or Echelon 1 is the tactical level of medical support that provides immediate life-saving, first aid, and triage. Role 2 is a higher / larger level of medical support, usually Role 1 takes the patient to MEDEVAC (Medical Evacuation). Roles 3 and 4 are for professional surgical capabilities and long-term definitive treatment.
