ModButton is an integrated transient switch and offset scout mounting design that provides a simple, clean installation with one-time convenience. Due to the need to save track space and provide a switch that can handle the power demands of modern lighting, Modlite and Unity Tactical collaborated to produce a small form factor switch and mounting solution that is backwards compatible with the Surefire® lighting range.
ModButton uses Unity Tactical's patented design to support the power delivery required for the next generation of high-output weapon lights. Surefire® compatible leads manufactured by Unity make the ModButton backwards compatible with all Surefire®, Arisaka and Modlite reconnaissance airframes as well as Surefire UE and DS00 tail caps.
Includes switch/bracket, tail cap and Lightwing adapter sold separately.
Improved electronics allow high-output lamps to operate at full power, rather than suffering the 15-20% degradation common with traditional switches. The offset mounting interface will accept Unity Tactical FUSION Light Wings, allowing for cantilevered forward or rear weapon light placement. It will also immediately accept standard Surefire® Scout footprints for direct installation.

Therefore, your "FDE" product may differ from other parts from UNITY and other companies and from photos shown online.
