The Magpul MOE AKM Hand Guard is a high-performance replacement specifically designed for original stamped receiver AK-47 / AKM / AK-74 pattern rifles that utilize a front sling loop on the hand guard retainer. This upgrade brings Magpul's durability and modularity to the venerable AK platform.

Key Features and Tactical Advantages:

  1. M-LOK Modularity:

    1. Multiple Slots: Features M-LOK® mounting capability with slots at the three, six, and nine o'clock positions, allowing for the attachment of direct-attach M-LOK accessories or Picatinny rail sections.

  2. Rugged and Safe Design:

    1. Heat-Resistant Polymer: Constructed from reinforced, heat-resistant polymer to withstand the extreme temperatures generated by the AK platform.
    2. Integrated Heat Shield: A front lip and side extension shields the shooter's hand from the hot barrel, ensuring safe handling while still allowing the use of the factory sling loop.
    3. Extended Gripping Portion: Provides an extended gripping portion for better weapon control.

  3. Seamless Integration:

    1. Includes Top Cover: Comes with a replacement polymer Top Cover (gas tube cover).
    2. Optics Compatibility: It is also compatible with the UltiMAK Optics Mount top cover.

  4. Easy Installation and Compliance:

    1. Simple Installation: Easy to install utilizing the existing front hand guard retaining cap with the sling loop.
    2. 922(r) Compliant: The Hand Guard counts as one US compliance part for 922(r) regulations.
