The FAST Series is a line of optical mounts and platforms that provide users with a faster field of view than standard height mounts. It provides faster and easier aiming while wearing armor, electronic earmuffs/communications headsets, night vision goggles and gas masks, and promotes a straighter head for more comfortable wearing of heavy gear.
The FAST COG series brackets were developed to universally accept the Trijicon Combat Optical Gunsight's two-screw and three-screw interfaces. It fits ACOG and VCOG series scopes, placing the optical centerline 2.05 inches above the rail. These scopes are widely used by military and police departments, who typically wear plate armor, helmets, headphones and gas masks. These rigs make aiming quickly challenging when using the factory-supplied absolute common sight height mount. The increased height design of the FAST COG series bracket greatly improves the speed and accuracy of threat response when wearing equipment.
It also features a FAST offset accessory mounting interface. The front and rear mounts allow the user to select the ideal position for offsetting the Micro Red Dot Sight (MRDS). Since ACOG and VCOG scopes have fixed magnification, these models are often used with MRDS. The FAST Offset Accessory Kit is a modular series of parts that allows users to select their preferred MRDS and place it 2.05 inches above the rail at a 35-degree angle. This installation method facilitates quick switching.
FAST COG Series brackets come with standard rail mounting clips with three cross-bolts.
The FAST COG Series brackets are constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy and feature a Type III hard-anodized finish, available in black or sand* shades.
